Have a Specific Question?

One problem we noticed was that it was extremely difficult for teenage students to enter the workforce due to poor community outreach. This is beneficial for the community because it is easy to find students who are willing to help, and the students will gain valuable work experience and skills. Another problem we face in our community is the issue of safety. Many parents are understandably wary of sending their children to unknown workspaces. townXchange will provide reliable software to verify residents’ authenticity through paid query identification if they elect in. Many students go outside the town to work or do not find opportunities to work at all because they are not aware of the local jobs available; townXchange will provide the link between these opportunities and the students who are motivated to take advantage of them. We work with the local school system to ensure students are aware of and able to use this software.

Business owners, residents, and students are allowed to make their own accounts. Here is a general welcome screen for all users where you can search for job listings that are of interest in your local radius.

On the dashboard, both business owners and residents may enter their job postings and view any applications.

Under Work Posts, businesses and residents are allowed to post and view other listings.

And finally, the Work Applications tab allows for a consolidated space for businesses and residents to view any applications they receive.

In addition to your view of the website as business owners or residents, we wanted to give you insight into the student’s view of the website. On a student’s account, their dashboard allows them to apply filters to find jobs aligning with their interests. Here you can see a student filtering job postings based on their interest in being a tutor.

Students can save work categories that interest them, and they will receive emails when postings in that category are made. This will ensure that your job posting will go to the right people on time.

Here is an example of a student receiving an email when a posting in their interest has been made.

Students can apply for jobs and message the poster with any questions that they have. This will promote ease of communication between users.

Finally, students can view the work applications they have sent and their status under the Work Applications tab.

Here is an example if the student is accepted, they will receive an email; this is what it will look like.
